My U59 turned out to be a nice little machine. I am currently running Ubuntu 21.10 (a Linux OS) on it and have it primarily running Frigate AI object recognition for 4 security cameras at my home, with the help of a google coral USB accelerator. This setup only consumes about 20-25% of the processor while running, so there’s plenty of headroom for more cameras or other services. I’m also using it to run a WireGuard VPN server, ZeroTier Controller, as well as a Ubiquiti UISP & Omada SDN controllers, to help control and monitor my home network. If this continues to be stable, I might experiment with adding a Plex or Jellyfin server if it doesn’t add too much extra overhead.

If you have a limited budget, this mini PC is a good option for office tasks and simple games.

With this mini PC, Beelink U59, I did the usual comparisons, but I focused on the possibility of expanding the memory and its internal storage. It also has the possibility of adding a SATA SSD Disk. Unfortunately, it does not allow a high-capacity mechanical disk, due to its limited space. But the change in speed is from heaven to earth.

Just what I wanted. A small computer that takes much less space on my desk and is much faster than the quad 4 hp. just so much faster for my simple tasks. Don’t game or do high end computations or anything like that. Just home use and this performs beautifully. Would recommend to family and friends. Good price too.

En principio todo correcto. Es pequeño, no se calienta y para lo que lo voy a usar va bastante bien, pues mi ordenador principal es un Mac y este solo lo quiero para cosas concretas que es mejor hacer en Pc. Al precio que lo conseguí no se le puede pedir más.
